The 0 Project Children
The 0 Project has a strong educational element , working to encourage children to voice their concerns both artistically, orally and through their writing . Children from preschools in Arlington county and from the City of Alexandria as well as in the Art League Summer Art Camp have participated in workshops. Older children worked with 0 Project Manager, Heidi Moyer on a large scale mural in Crystal City, Virginia during the Marine Corp Marathon. Kathy Beynette lead children’s art classes in creating a mini protest march, complete with signs. Arlington Arts Center hosted a 0 Project Halloween event with mask making. In the future events are planned working with BosmaDance to create a multimedia event for teenagers, including the creation of 0 Project music, art and dance, by the students.
